I have received numerous calls on my home phone for different candidates running for political office. This to me is a waste of my time and theirs since I never decide which person I will vote for from a programed call. I don't have an unlisted number so I can't complain. Howeve I was at work today and got a call on my cell phone wanting me to vote for a local candidate. I asked how they got my cell number and she said through voter registration. I am not sure why anyone should be looking at my voter registration card, unless they work in the office. I don't know why my cell phone number should be given to any candidates. I called and had my number blocked a couple of weeks ago , on the National Do Not Call List, so solicitors could not call but evidently this didn't qualify.
