Chip found a Paul family who lived in the area in the 1800's and owned a store. Oddly they moved away before the area was named Paulette.
If I follow your message correctly your child has gone to Luttrell. Now she is slated for Maynardville and you would like her to stay in Luttrell.
The answer is, she can stay at Luttrell pending two things.

1) Luttrell has room after receiving it's own students.
2) You provide transportation to and from.

At the Paulette Elementary site, I am still negotiating with Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) about entrance, crosswalks, stoplights and other. At this point in time Highway 33 is going through the design process to be widened by TDOT. I am not sure at this date what the extent of the project involves or the timeline. However, I am monitoring the design process and when that process is completed, I hope to have a better idea how to address these issues.

By any chance, do you know if crosswalks will be built for the new schools? The new Paulette school is built across the hwy from the neighborhood, and I can foresee many kids trying to cross that hwy in the mornings and afternoon.

I don't have a question, just wanted to make a comment. I was so proud to be at the groundbreaking ceremony this morning. This school has been needed for a long time. But I was more proud to see the turnout from the public. Not just elected officials, but just ordinary people like me. It was a beautiful day to start building a wonderful school!! Thanks, Mr Goforth, for never giving up on this project!!!!
